Introduction:
Ragging is a social menace that has no place in the academic environment of the institute. Concerted efforts are required to prevent its occurrence at any time. The policy of the institute is to make the campus a fully “Anti-Ragging Campus” in line with UGC/AICTE guidelines.
Objectives:
- To generate the disciplinary atmosphere in the Institute and send the clear message that ragging will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken in case of any complaint.
- To prevent any physical or mental torture, or any disorderly conduct towards any student that causes apprehension, dread, humiliation, or agitation to him/her
- To maintain a ragging free campus.
- To create awareness about ragging & ensure a student-friendly environment at all times.
- To keep continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
- To make aware the students about the dehumanizing effect of ragging inherent in its perversity.
- Promptly and stringently dealing with incidents of ragging brought to our notice.
Scope:
The scope of Anti Ragging Cell is extended to the entire campus and all members of the institution, including students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Its reach includes preventing and addressing ragging incidents within college premises and any other locations associated with the institution.
