ICICI Financial Literacy Awareness Programme And Skill Development Programme
Placement and Career Guidance Cell of MVM Degree College have organized Financial Literacy Awareness Programme and Skill Development Programme for students for three days from 22nd February 2018 to 24th February 2018. This programme was introduced in collaboration with ICICI bank. Ms Aditi was speaker and representative of ICICI bank conducted sessions with students.
Training On Skills Sets
Placement and Career Guidance Cell of MVM Degree College has organized two days workshop for their students focusing on various skills sets. It was two days training session held on 20th March and 23rd March 2018. Corporate trainer Mr Wicky David was on the campus for two days, and provide thorough training to the participants through mock interviews, group discussion, presentation etc.
2016-17 Activities:- Workshop For Internship By Arena Animation
Arena Animation came to our campus, MVM’s Degree College of Science and Commerce on the 9th August at 12 pm in the 3rd-floor A.V room. They had a career guidance cum placement opportunities seminar for all the BMS and B.Sc.IT students. They began by informing about their company and then digital marketing, designing and game programming details, they used audio-visual aid to support this information. They offered internships in “Graphic and web designing” for the students of our campus with an attractive salary for a minimum period of 6 months.
Career Opportunities in Merchant Navy
Placement and Career Guidance Cell of MVM Degree College organized a seminar on “ Career Opportunities in Merchant Navy” on 24th January 2017. Captain Jacob and team members from Join hands private limited conducted the session with students. Students were informed about the various career opportunities; pay package, cadres etc. in the field of Merchant Navy.
Career and Internship placement
On 19th August 2016, a session was held for the student of SY and TY BMS and BAF at our college. The section was all about career, internship and placements. The guest was Mrs Priyanka Archarya.
Career Guidance Workshop By Dhrishti Education
Dhrishti Education conducted a career guidance workshop in our MVM’s Degree College of Science and Commerce on the 11th August at 12 pm on the 3rd floor A.V room. Mr Mahavir Modi was the guest speaker for the day. They had a career guidance seminar for all the BMS, B.Sc.IT and BAF students. A total of 58 students attended this seminar from the respective streams. It began by informing the students about career opportunities in today’s Competitive world. Students were guided on how to face the co-operate world interview with ease. Which were supported by various visual aids to support this information? They also highlighted the various aspects that students should be aware of while facing an interview. The demonstration was done so that students get an idea how our interviews are being held. Students were guided on how to make appropriate CV’S. The students seemed very enthusiastic about this. The session was informative and appreciated by all.
Orientation Programme On Band App
Placement and Career Guidance Cell of MVM Degree College of Commerce & Science in collaboration with Korean based Company, Camp Mobile has launched a mobile application in the institution. Orientation programme for the same was held on16th June 2016 at 8.30 a.m. in the A.V. room. Mr Subir Banerjee, Business Development Head, Camp Mobile has orientated our students on the application.

The College conducts Bridge the Gap courses for First-year students from non-commerce background across all the courses where the basics of subjects like Accountancy and Economics are taught to the students.
College has conduct Yoga Training Programme for student. This training was provided by “Shree Ambika Kutir”.
College also celebrates International Yoga Day every year.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2017-18:-
MVM’s Degree College of Commerce & Science celebrated International Yoga Day on 21st June 2017 at 9.00 am to 10.30 am. The event was convened by our Hon. Principal Dr Gopal Kalkoti, Ms Khushboo (yoga trainee and member of Goregaon sports club).The event was organized by the NSS unit of MVM Degree College. The guests of honour for the day were:

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2016-17:-
NSS and DLLE Unit of MVM’s Degree College of Commerce & Science celebrated International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2016 along with Ambika Yog Kutir. The seminar was taken by Mr Rajesh Sutar from Ambika Yog Kutir.

Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
We follow the following procedure for Counselling:-
- The subject teacher/mentor identifies the student during interaction need for personal counselling or the Student himself/herself can approach the mentor for the benefit of personal counselling service.
- Mentor recommends the needy student to the counsellor and also informs Vice-Principal about it.
- The counsellor conducts the session with the student as per the requirement and provide feedback on the same to the mentor and vice-principal.
- Sensitive matters and information shared during the session are kept confidential.
